Vanilla Ice Cream

What is better than homemade vanilla ice cream on a hot summer day? This is so quick, easy, and good that it's almost criminal. Use the best vanilla you can find for this, it makes a big difference. We use Totonac's. We discovered it on a vacation to Mexico years ago and luckily it is available on Amazon now.

2 cups	half and half
1½ cups	whipping cream
¾ cup	sugar
1 tbl	vanilla
¼ tsp	salt
