Vanilla Ice Cream

Vanilla ice cream made with Steens Pure Cane Syrup tastes like malted milk balls! Steens is delicious, used in many dishes, and we can buy it in in local supermarkets. If Steens isn't available in your area, you can buy it from Steens or on Amazon, but it's much more expensive than what we pay for it at the grocery store. Use the best vanilla you can find for this, it makes a big difference. We use Totonac's. We discovered it on a vacation to Mexico years ago and luckily it is available on Amazon now.

2 cups	half and half
1½ cups	whipping cream
¾ cup	Steens
1 tbl	vanilla
¼ tsp	salt
